Elisabeth Sweet

Elisabeth Sweet is a poet exploring patterns of randomness. She writes and mediates on the dualistic nature of perception, on what is seen and unseen. Her online presence began anonymously as Species of Value, under which she self-published her poetry and discovered web3. She attended the Glitch Residency in 2023, and her poetry has been exhibited in New York City, Paris, South Florida, and Tallinn.

Sweet’s professional work centers on digital art and community. At theVERSEverse, a poetry NFT gallery co-founded by Ana María Caballero, Sasha Stiles, and Kalen Iwamoto, Sweet co-curates and co-produces poetry exhibitions worldwide. Notable exhibitions she has worked on include POESÍA DE PROTESTA, FeralVerse, and POÈME SBJKT. Sweet also works with Feral File, an online gallery co-founded by Casey Reas to exhibit software-based artwork. There, she leads community engagement and exhibition promotion in the form of artist and curator interviews, communication strategies, and public outreach.

Sweet’s work with theVERSEverse and Feral File align with her passion for facilitating conversations around process, values, and meaning. Her poetry encourages dialogue around matters of love, death, and revelation. Find more of her poetry here. For more writing, find her on Substack at Species of Value, a blog dedicated to mindful musings.
